Pillars of Training

  • Conditioning
  • Strength
  • Power
  • Reactive Training

The goal of Lean Force is to maximize your potential to reach peak conditioning by manipulating both training volume and training intensity.  Through proper training not only will you reach your potential at the appropriate time, but also reduce the risk of overtraining and injury.  We periodized training programs for clients and athletes when appropriate, a proven technique utilized by professional training coaches alike.

Lean Force’s peridization training program focuses on four important pillars of training such as conditioning, strength, power, and plyometrics.  We emphasize conditioning as a first step to correct muscle imbalances, build connective tissue strength, and body fat reduction.  We emphasize strength as a second phase of training to help build lean muscle mass and overall strength.  Finally, we emphasize power training with a focus on lifting heavy weights and integrating all muscle systems specifically for athletes. In addition, we utilize reactive training (plyometrics) to apply newfound strength from training to specific sports related activities in the field.  These systems of training are proven to be effective and its Lean Force’s methodology of training.

Training Cycles & Methodology

Phase I: Conditioning & Weight Management Program:
8 – 10 weeks of conditioning to improve strength and mobility of joints and connective tissues.  We will design a two-month resistance-training program as the first of four stages to help you get leaner and stronger through correct form movement and core strength exercises.

Phase II: Strength Stabilization Program:
8 – 10 weeks of resistance training with an emphasis on building lean muscle through appropriate strength based exercises.  We will design a resistance-training program to help you build lean muscle, build strength and reduce body fat.

Phase III: Power Program:
A 6-week program of power lifting designed for athletes and individuals interested in improving their overall power and applying it to their sports related activities.  This program is designed to help build lean muscle, core strength, and power with an emphasis on lifting heavy weights.

Phase IV: Plyometrics (Reactive Training):
A two-month program designed to help apply your newfound strength from the gym to the playing field.  This program is designed to help professional athletes, recreational athletes, and weekend warriors test their muscle endurance and strength through explosive movements mimicking their sports related activities.
